W10 Reflection: ROI & Optimizing Ad Performance

This week's material was a little deeper and harder to grasp all the concepts that were being taught or best practices that were being shared. I tried to take in as much information as I could but at times felt overwhelmed with the strategy behind running and optimizing ads.  There are a lot of things that go into making sure an ad performs well and does what it is supposed to. One of those being quality keywords, both positive and negative. Ensuring a customer lands on your page with your products or services in mind despite using poor search words or phrases is proof of a well-implemented and running Google Ads campaign. Another is making sure that once Google Ads leads your potential customer to your site, the customer is directed to his or her interest or need and wants to stay and perform an action. Completing the necessary site maintenance that makes it easier for customers to navigate your site and find what they are looking for will bring success to your business. I d...

W09 Reflection: Relevance & Quality Score

This past week, I integrated tools like Google Analytics into my Hostinger website builder site. It was surprisingly straightforward, requiring simple code pasting to enable Ads, Analytics, and Tags. After learning about its potential to improve my business, I am excited to see Google Analytics as a way to achieve success. It offers deep insights into what works and what doesn't. It promises to track progress effectively, helping you in your efforts and achieve your goals well as providing helpful business strategies. While I went about the week some practices stuck out to me as important priorities to do well and keep updated in my business. One practice includes improving ad effectiveness. Ensuring accurate product descriptions is crucial to maintaining customer interest beyond the initial search or click. Another is the importance of compelling calls to action that prompt immediate customer engagement, whether through browsing, scheduling, or purchasing. And lastly, directing ad...

W08 Reflection: Ads

This week was all about the importance and complexities behind ads and ad grouping and understanding successful keywords as well as negative keywords.  I also saw the importance of general yet specified listings that would target your specific product or service above others while having other variations of searches that may still lead a customer your direction without putting money into descriptions that lead nowhere. If your company includes multiple lines of products or services you need to prioritize your most relevant and focus your money on campaigns that will generate the most revenue while still having headlines and descriptions for your less popular items. Having a headline and description that interests the customer and directs them directly to the resource they are interested will ensure they stay on your site. Including a call to action early on will increase the likelihood of the customer doing business with you. Google Ads produces helpful tips and suggestions for inc...

W07 Reflection: Google Ads & Keywords

Reflecting on my experience this past week as we've explored Google Ads more and keywords, things have gone well and I've learned a lot! I was able to go through the entire process of putting together a Google Ads campaign and decide what features to take advantage of as well as what to opt out of.  I've gained insights into the characteristics of both good and bad keywords and tried to plan my campaign accordingly. In an attempt to help with any future ad quests, I would like to offer some of my findings. When it comes to good keywords, relevance is one of the most important. Ensuring that the keywords directly relate to your business's services or products is crucial. Additionally, specificity plays a significant role, especially for your key or most popular offerings. It's important to choose keywords that align with what potential customers are likely to search for, putting yourself in their shoes. Eliminating negative keywords can also be beneficial, as it help...
