W05 Reflection: Site Design

 This week I learned a lot of important things such as:

  • The importance of web design, image, navigation, and payment methods. Staying up to date on current trends can help maintain a healthy audience that visit your site and trust using it.
  • Importance of keeping a website simple and clear with easy directory to customers' most common interests or needs. Making sure the website is not too busy or crowded is helpful when trying not to overwhelm customers. 
  • Using design layouts and prompts that lead customers to stay on the website and perform an action or carry out a task. 
  • How helpful data can be and utilizing best practices that have brought success to other companies. Sometimes you have to customize your website to whatever methods bring in business so paying attention to analytics is important. 
  • Making sure my web design is responsive and adapts to the various screen sizes customers may be using will help with customer satisfaction and utilization.
  • Choosing a good and reliable Ecommerce Software is mandatory when hoping to make online sales. If it is not a smooth experience you could lose the sale very quickly.
All of these things, and more, will help ensure that your customers feel safe browsing your site and purchasing products or services there.

W11Reflection: Landing Page Optimization & Basic SEO

       This week had some of the most important and useful information I think I have learned thus far. Let me share some of the things that stuck out most to me specific to my line of work as well as in general.\      The topics of discussion for this week were landing page optimization and basic SEO (search engine optimization). For landing page optimization I learned that a couple of good practices include making sure the user's experience (UX) is a good one. Some of the ways you can do this is to make sure that your site is easy to navigate, loads quickly, can be used on any type of browser or screen size, and is aesthetically pleasing to look at and understand. W07 Reflection: Google Ads & Keywords

Reflecting on my experience this past week as we've explored Google Ads more and keywords, things have gone well and I've learned a lot! I was able to go through the entire process of putting together a Google Ads campaign and decide what features to take advantage of as well as what to opt out of.  I've gained insights into the characteristics of both good and bad keywords and tried to plan my campaign accordingly. In an attempt to help with any future ad quests, I would like to offer some of my findings. When it comes to good keywords, relevance is one of the most important.
